A clairvoyant’s predictions of gloom
and doom to a world of turmoil, waiting
for change and of times that past with
great accuracy, this man of the 16th
century counselled the Medici’s and
predicted for Kings and Queens their
He walked in the shadows while stars
fell open to his thoughts and cast some
mighty gloom of times present and past
as the stars aligned, between Scorpio and
Sagittarius he saw with saddened eye the
fate of mankind and penned with quill of
black ink and pain, under candle light of
dim melting vales that let him see through,
for a mere pittance in time.
A modest man of means, yet
touched by a supreme being of
intelligence and predictions, to
foretell the future of mankind as
it traveled through the ages of
building and destruction.
The time has now come to venture
into the unknown of my future goals
and dreams, as years go by and leave
me in the shallow of life’s bitter pill,
to take in desperation of hope.
Thankful for being blessed thus far
with friends and writers with wise
and sweet fragrance, words of praise
and kindness blown into my soul
with a gentleness that leaves me
quickened, sad and yet in awe of
fellow scribe’s generosity, given
to a humble writer of verse and prose.
I pray that Nostradamus predictions
don’t come with haste, in this twenty
first of centuries, to mankind’s wayward
ways on planet earth and galaxies
beyond his imagination.
Let us heal earth and save the species
that live within our world and bring
peace to peoples to stop all wars and
end the famine and disease plaguing
Let not a soothsayer prediction from
years gone by be our demise, but
change the path of self-destruction
and take the high road of healing
our hearts, souls, minds and bodies.
Yet open our eyes and clearly see we
are all one, connected to the cord of
life not to be cut loose from one
another, but live in harmony and
peace in this garden of life.
I leave you now as the sunset sets it’s
shadow casting over my life and leads
me into a deep sleep of yearning for
the other side of Scorpio.
