Thinking of you, the distance
between galaxies, leap years
beyond the Milky Way, my flesh
though yearning for yours and
despite the space and emptiness
left in my heart, you are here.
In my dreams although so vague
it seems you do occupy them from
limits so remote and I stand here
alone upon earth’s dreary shores
yearning for you.
No matter where I am, you can be
so close but removed, between
the highest ranges and deepest seas,
standing there I see you and you
see me. Our thoughts and telepathy
linked, our eyes seeking the deepest
parts of our love, our hearts bleeding
to reunite, oh my love where are you?
The rain falls, the tears drip slowly
down my cheeks, I yearn for them,
as nimble my thoughts capture yours,
your scent. Oh thoughts you kill me,
please leave me now, withdraw behind
the miles and into the blackest of holes.
In my darkness and dreams I am directed
to your light and it forms an aura around
you, bright shades of violet whose shadows
do frame your glow and natural beauty
upon the rock chained awaiting the key of
Though divided by it and separated by
distance your absence makes me stronger
with thoughts of love so sweetly, so woven
and spun like silk clinging in time and felt
as your lips kiss me through a thin veil
So blessed am I in my imperfections,
as my eyes though sightless in the darkness
of sleep, meet your heavenly glow fragmented
in heavy sleep. My day’s end and favor me
with the night to see you again, my dreams
I welcome and the universe is ours.
